Indoor Air Quality
Good indoor air quality is essential - especially if you suffer from allergies, asthma or COPD. In Florida's humid climate, duct work can become contaminated with microorganisms that may be harmful if inhaled.
We check your system for microbial growth and sanitize with a hospital-grade solution using a fogger. We can also install
germicidal Ultra Violet lights to prevent further contamination.
A properly functioning air conditioner also removes water from the air making your home less humid, however an inline de-humifidier ensures much greater efficiency. Lowering the humidity will make your house feel a lot cooler without having to lower the thermostat, which increases your operating cost. On most days, balanced humidity (between 40% and 50%) will make the air feel as if it were 8° to 10°F cooler.

Our 21-point inspection includes a new washable filter, cleaning the coil, flushing the drain line, algaside tablets for drain pan, coil guard, checking the amperage draw and refrigerant levels, and adding up to 1lb of refrigerant. Over time your ducts will become coated with dust, pollen, pet dander and lint. Not only is this bad for your health, but the efficiency of your air conditioner can be affected which in turn costs you money. To clean the ducts we use a rotobrush with hepa-vacuum to clean out dirt and debris. Sanitizing with an hospital- grade solution using a fogger, helps kill microbial growth and algae.
Old thermostats are inefficient because they cannot be programmed, costing you a lot of money. We strongly recommend upgrading to a programmable thermostat. This ensures that when you are not home you are not cooling unnecessarily. Because you can control the time for each day of the week, you can set it, for example, to move to a higher temperature setting when you leave for work and then cool the house 30 minutes before you come home. We can install smart thermostats which connect through WiFi to your computer or cell phone.
